Toshi & Ashley are a sound artist/poet duo based in Tokyo and New York. They have worked together for years, spending hours in cafés to dream up ideas over countless cups of tea and coffee. Together, they merge their curiosities toward the musical and literary; their compositions give spoken poetry a new life, interweaving visceral narratives with soundscape stories. Their artistic explorations extend beyond sonic expressions via collaborations with creative minds from exo-musical practices, such as motion graphics and artificial intelligence, to discover the endless possibilities of music, storytelling, and innovative technologies.
